When I’m Tempted is the highly anticipated (by all of her faithful fans) third installment in the Promises of God series, and it does not disappoint. Kim Cash Tate has done it again with her realistically written characters, her relevant storyline and God-inspired reference to applicable scripture. Kim has done a phenomenal job at taking a subject often thought taboo and pulling the scales back in a way that promotes deliverance, healing and guidance. We have all been tempted, and regardless of whether we fled or we failed, hopefully we learned a lesson.This novel, through the “family” of characters we have grown to love, provides a realistic view of the different forms temptation can take, its effects, and what love looks like on the other side, all while prompting us to continue to cling to Christ in the midst of the trial and afterwards. The testimonies rendered by the characters remind us that no one is exempt and that God’s grace is sufficient. What a blessing and a gift! You won’t be disappointed (I say that every time, and mean it)!

Kim Cash Tate has quickly become my FAVORITE contemporary novelist... not just Christian novelist, but novelist, in general. I'm an avid reader, so beyond seeking a good story line, I'm always looking for a story that "reads well." I could go on and on about the plots of her stories... how they are relevant, strong, enlightening, convincting, etc... NEVER have I read a series of Christian books that flows so well, that's keeps me laughing and crying, and, ultimately, challenges me and causes me to draw closer to Jesus. I'm so grateful for the wisdom and TRUTH revealed through these characters. Only Holy Spirit could inspire such writing, and I'm grateful to be a recipient of this ministry.

Ahhhhhh just finished the book! My goodness! This was the best one yet! Every chapter had you wanting more! I almost stayed up the entire night because it was THAT good and so so sooo encouraging. I love how Kim shares the issues that Christian often face in marriage and relationships. Temptation is real. It happens and it needs to be talked about. I am glad God shows Kim as the one who would do just that.On another note: I have hope that Jillian and Tommy will be the main characters in the next book for some strange reason! Lol I also think that we will be reading more about Sophia and Joy and seeing how the blossom! I am so excited about book #4!! Loved it!

Once again, Kim Cash Tate has not disappointed. The title itself caught my attention since we all are tempted in life. And those temptations are not always to do things that are harmful or inappropriate but to stop doing things that are helpful, like trusting God. Tate deals with all of these temptations and ultimately points back to the One who provides an exit door. Filled with relatable and relevant content, this book will have you experiencing every type of emotion and seeing yourself in one or multiple characters. This is a phenomenal book and should be read as the third book in the series.

Wow. Kim Cash Tate does not disappoint. This book picks up where the last book in the Promises of God series left off. The storyline allows you to think, self reflect , and laugh on several occasions. The book is realistic which makes it even better. I can’t wait for her next release.

I loved seeing the crew overcome and learn from the temptation and test thrown their way. This author has a way of encouraging you to push through the tough times in your life by her characters’ situations. This book ministered to me, and I love the practical lessons revealed in it. I hope there’s more in store for Jillian, Tommy, Jessie, Jordyn and crew. I can tell there’s more brewing.😉Read this, you won’t be disappointed

First let me say I love kim cash tate's books. But this book right here may be one of my favorites. Not only do I felt as if I was catching up with old friends. I was blessed by this godly writing. There were moments of. Sadness and joy. This book had everything ypu wpuld want. It definitely showed the power of God's love and forgiveness. I hope there is another book in this series.

I absolutely love this series. I can always count on Kim to make me take a deeper look at my spiritual walk. This book is a Bible study wrapped in the form of a novel. There's no way that you can read any of her books and remain the same. God uses her to minister to us through her stories so that He'll get the glory. I'm amazed at how God uses Kim to create the characters unique situations and points us to scripture every single time. He uses Kim to show us that He's truly the answer to every problem that arises in our lives. To God be the glory for the things He's done and it's my prayer that He'll continue to bless Kim's work.

The MAKER MOVEMENT MANIFESTO highlights the importance of being able to fail quickly and inexpensively so this ever important and necessary cycle of trial & error can lead to success. I loved this book and found it to be a very encouraging note of optimism in an otherwise dark economy. Every technical institute/college program should make this required reading! Democratization has finally come to the inventing field and the future is looking much brighter.

Maker movement is something recurrent in education – learning by doing. With new technologies, as was Papert’s intent, this learning side can be emphasized and come to good ends. But pragmatism as its limitations – in school we have to learn also abstract dimensions, formalisms of written language, mathematics, whose immediate utility is not so visible. Knowledge which can change lives, especially of oppressed people, is not common sense, community practices, gossip, but the scientific version, with all its prejudices and evils. Scientific knowledge is Eurocentric, colonialist, prepotent, but can do emancipation better than common sense, because it is deconstructive and reconstructive, analytic, abstract. This is a major literacy problem, because children have to learn abstractly. Nevertheless, maker movement has a good intention: making school useful.

Mark Hatch does a great job of capturing the excitement of the maker movement and putting that excitement into a larger context so that non-makers can grasp the importance of the movement and see beyond the surface impression of a bunch of nerds playing with cool tools. I suggest that this be read in conjunction with several other books especially Anderson's "Makers", Osborne's "Makers at Work", Baichtal's "Hack This", Gershenfeld's "Fab", and even Oldenburg's "The Great Good Place"I enjoyed reading Mark's 'manifesto', it comes across more like a series of related presentations / talking points then a fully developed thesis but isn't that what a manifesto is supposed to look like?As some others have commented it's very much from the perspective of Tech Shop but I was expecting that since that's what he knows best. There are a few minor technical flaws but those only underscore that Hatch probably spends more of his time on airplanes and in conference rooms then he does actually using maker tools.

Really a great read. Mark lays out a practical and valuable manifesto that sets the groundwork for real and meaningful change. His call to actions are inspirational and come at a perfect time as the maker movement rises in prominence and even begins to impact major brands. Even if you aren't a "maker" the book is great motivational reading, and a great primer for those being impacted by the movement and trying to understand the motivation and driving force behind it. Also of note - as founder of TechShop Mark is someone who has "walked to walk" very successfully and has a great deal of credibility in the space

I could not put this book down while I was reading it and I was continuously writing notes and coming up with ideas inspired by the stories told in each chapter. The writing style of Mark Hatch is as though he sat down with you for a cup of coffee (or maybe a beer) and he's discussing with you what he has experienced and seen so far with the Maker Movement. He provides good advice for anyone who has been bitten by the Maker bug. This book would make a great gift for any Maker, Tinkerer, or creative type of person.

Mark Hatch has put his money where his mouth is and describes practical, real examples of how the new era of rapid prototyping is already providing anyone with an idea for a physical product, a way to bring it to fruition quickly and inexpensively.This is a well written book about the most exciting innovation happening now. Mark provides an understanding of the implications of 3D printing and open sourced software. He talks about how the job making engine in the US is increasingly in the hands of entrepreneurs, not the over paid CEOs of the Fortune 100.Great read, especially for anyone with an idea for a new product.

When in grammar school, here on Maui, 1945, we would choose 10 songs to sing from this book. You cannot imagine my delight when I saw I could still get this book! Oh what fun we had with those songs!

The songs in this book are the songs I grew up with, as my late mother was a Glee Club director. Community Songs, Glee Club Songs -- you don't see many of these songs in print anymore. Much of these belong in America's musical heritage. I hope it doesn't go out of print.

The book is great. I have already used it multiple times while working on my careplans for nursing school.

As a hospital pharmacist, this is the book I have at my side at all times. Gives important information on infusion rates, stability, and usual dosages and concentrations. This information can be found elsewhere of course but I have been accustomed to looking here first.

When I was ordering this edition of Gahart's IV reference book, I noticed that it was the 18th edition. I have or have had most all the editions published! I guess I've been a nurse a long time..... I have worked in the Intensive Care and Emergency Department settings and have always found this book an excellent resource! Great for graduate/new nurses!

As an ER RN, in my opinion this is the quintessential referance for anyone who requires fast, comprehensive information about IV meds. This yearly updated book is laid out alphabetically by generic drug name with multiple indexed cross referencing by classification and brand names. The staff in the ER consider it an indispensible tool on all relevent aspects of IV meds and their appropriate application. Awareness = improved patient care and safety.

I am a pharmacist with the Cleveland Clinic and need to have a reliable, thorough, and handy reference available at all times. This book is one of the best resources I have come by thus far in my career. It is a must have! Quick and easy look up to a wealth of organized information. All hospital pharmacists should not go without it!

Heather S. Orr graduated from Texas A&M with a B.A. in political science and then obtained her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She joined the litigation department of a large Los Angeles firm. Wow, wow, wow! It's not often you come across a book that's written for a specific industry but has lessons and advice that span multiple areas. I am not a lawyer yet H.S. Orr's insights are still helpful in my field. Also, I have a friend who IS a lawyer and after reading just a few pages she said there was advice in there that she wished she had when she first started her law career. Highly recommended!

Point by point presentation of the pros and cons of a career in big law vs small law or becoming an entrepreneur. What I liked the most was that the information can easily cross over into other areas, such as big corporations.

So how DID we end up with a modern Israel after it was wiped off the map a couple of thousand years ago? Ahh. So the Jews BOUGHT back the land from the Arabs who owned it. Wow. What a story! So that's how a Kibbutz works, and why! What a bold and courageous group of people gathered in Palestine while Stalin and Hitler prepared for war. How unfortunate was the role of the UK in all of this. How amazing is the density of biblical sites throughout this small country. I am re-reading to capture even more of the richness.

A great primer on why the people of this region are as successful as they've become. It even answers some of the questions on why these marvelous people have been so mistreated! They've suffered the same fate as those who have single-mindedly persevered throughout the ages! If one could, one should read ''The Source'' by Michener as a companion read. As one whose family could well have been so called 'maranos' as they made their ways into the new world, this book makes one appreciative of the people to which our culture hero, Jesus, belonged. I am more now, than before, a supporter of Israel, and the diverse people who make up, 'This Land'.!

Although historical fiction, Exodus exposed me to a part of history where I knew very little. Reviews of the book by critics suggest that it is not entirely historically accurate and was a propaganda piece. I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle. One cannot deny that the Jews were treated abysmally during World War 2 and what I did not know was how badly they were treated by the Allies, especially the British, after the war. The story of how a people created a country under unimaginable odds is an inspiration. I understand, why Exodus became a bestseller when it was first released in 1958.

Leon Uris obviously had an agenda when he wrote this book -- the characters are real and the historic events are also incredibly real. I have seen the movie many, many times (I can never get enough of Paul Newman!) But it does not complete the story as well as the book. I feel incredibly grateful to know the (all be it) limited history of this part of the world. With the wars continuing to rage in that part of the world, and the incredible nation the Jewish people have built out of the desert -- they deserve everything they have! Do I recommend it??? Of course!

This is an interesting look into one of the factors in the end of British colonialism and the physical birthing of the Jewish State, the idea for which was openly described by Theodor Herzl. The ongoing conflict between the British (with apparently divided hearts and loyalties), the residents of the Palestine area, and those desperately hoping to be a part of the creation of the "new" homeland for Israel in a historically Israeli area.The author, Leon Uris (a U.S. Marine serving in the Pacific Theater in WW II) who had more than a passing interest in Jewish affairs, speaks in this tale to numerous situations..."refugee problems", political complications, and individual concerns as the drama initiated by the Balfour Declaration and the Palestine Mandate played out. He reminds us that the ambiguities of the British behaviors between the end of WW I and the U.N. recognition of a Jewish State seem to have been motivated in part by the the reason seems to be the age-old one...the oil interests in the Middle East that have lured numerous players into conflict in the region.It is a brilliant piece of fiction, though it appears quite accurate to the historical facts. It's facinating, riviting, and heart-rending.

Have read this book for the 3rd time and each time i learn a little bit more about the middle east conflict at least from Leon Uris' perspective.However, it does seem that his books follow a sort of pattern where one of the heroic characters dies near the end of the book and there are always star crossed lovers who never seem to be able to connect with each other as circumstance and chance always seem to intervene.the history is interesting but i like historical fiction.If you are interested in this time of world history i would suggest that you read The Haj (also by Leon Uris) first; then Exodus to get the abbreviated history of the reestablishment of Israel and the source of the Arab Israeli conflict.if you are interested in the history of WWII - which i think most of us should be as that was really what made the USA a super power then i would suggest that you read Winds of War and War and Rememberance by Herman Wouk both are excellent excellent books with interesting characters and one gets some insight into Hitler, Stalin, Churchill but not so much Roosevelt or Mussolini (but Italy did not seem to play a big role in WWII).If you want to read about the formation of East and West Berlin and the Russian/Communist attempt to claim all of Europe after Germany surrendered then you should read Armageddon also by Leon Uris.i find history very interesting but can't just sit and read a history book but historical fiction can make the history come alive.we should all learn more about history - we don't know why were here until we know where we have been.

It's a fairly comprehensive book, though repetitive at times. Has a good number of drills; I wish I had the time to do them.

Odd metaphors and connections described to the reader so they can understand a certain hand position

Well it was bought for a class and while not the most exciting book. It does explain basics. I would save my money though as most likely it has nothign that you won't learn in a class or lesson.

Very useful / instructive. A "must read" for anyone serious about learning and/or teaching badminton.

Worst book written for Badminton, a total waste of time and money, after four hours I still know what the hell he was saying???

Was looking for a book that was not so basic. For beginners. I felt the write up totally miss sold me on the book.

This book was required reading for one of my college courses. It meet my expectations & was what the professor intended.
