This review is only for the Kindle Rental Version. The content of the book--great! Easy to understand and learn with. Kindle Version--You can only use it on two devices, which really defeats the purpose of getting it. I have my phone on the go, my ipad at home, and Kindle Cloud or PC at work. I need to be able to use my textbook when it is convenient for me to study.

The book itself is fine (had to purchase for a class). Some of the problems/questions in the paperback version are different (like the numbers in the tables are slightly different from the hardcover). In the event you're using this for a course, just be aware of that and that the pages don't align. I do think it's nicer to carry/manage between classes tho :/

There are a few reasons I gave this book a 3-star rating. I will list the pros and cons and explain in more detail.Pros:-Good overall view of supply chain concepts and metrics-Very detailed information (qualitative and quantitative)-Honorable effort at incorporating Microsoft Excel examples....however (refer to cons)Cons:-Black and White...YAWN (Try reading through this for an hour straight, seriously... it gets really dry. Simply adding some color to titles and charts would be helpful)-Invalid Information (Some of the information about strategies companies utilize are outright wrong. I understand examples are used to drive down points, but after researching on the web about some of the companies' strategies who I thought were different, they indeed were)-Excel examples are ridiculous. It doesn't matter how good you are in using Excel, it's all about setting up the exercises, I was reading through Chapter 4, came across Chapter 5 and went to do the problems and got hit by a truck. The book literally dives right into it with very little explanation about how to set problems up and why you may want to do it that way. Instead, it starts throwing out statistical functions and 300 variables and expects you to figure out how to solve them. A CD or some type of template would be a Godsend.-Outdated Case studies (Literally used the same ones from the earlier edition, but changed the years in the charts, tables, etc., lazy much?)Overall, a decent book. I had to purchase it for a course I am taking, and the instructor doesn't cover the exercises at all so that also plays into a bit of bias I have against the Excel examples. This is also a book meant to be used at the graduate level, so if you haven't taken any statistics courses and intend on using this book to learn about network optimization, forecasting and whatnot, I would advise against it.

This book arrived quickly and in new condition. This book is very understandable. I like how the authors cover the important points several times in different phrasing to reinforce the information.

Great reference book. Good balance between theory and application, with loads of well-written case studies. Only complaint is the price... DANG!

It's a textbook so I can't say much about it. It's cheap and informational. Somewhat easy to ready with lots of examples.

Great quality book. Latest edition for a very low price!

Good book about supply chain
